Landscape

Paisatge is a painting on canvas made by Modest Urgell i Inglada in 1876 and preserved in the Library Museum Víctor Balaguer, with the registration number 1655 since he entered in 1956, from the private collection of Lluís Plandiura i Pou.

It is a landscape with hermitage and trees that surround it, a very characteristic theme of this painter: a hermitage towards the late, the bell, the cypresses and small figures. Background with partly cloudy skies. In the box is the inscription Urgell (bottom left) Behind: Modest Urgell / 1839-1919 /18; Behind: Wife of the recorder Buxó and madre de Luis, painter and Matilde, married this con Don Antonio Caba / Antoni Caba / 1838-1907.
