Portrait of Democritus

The Democritus is a painting by antoine Coypel (1661-1722), made in 1692. Democritus (c. 460 BC.C – 370 BC.C.) was a philosopher of pre-Socratic Greece. The painting is now kept in the Louvre Museum.
