Legend of the Relics of St. John the Baptist

"The Fate of the Ashes of St. John the Baptist" (Dutch. Geschiedenis van het gebeente van Johannes de Doper) is a painting by the Dutch painter Gertgen toth Sint Jans (1460/65–1495), a representative of the Northern Renaissance. It was created around 1484. It is kept in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna (inv. NoGG 993).
